Summary *

In this article, a multi-period mixed integer linear programming model is presented for the long-term planning problem of the forestry supply chain with energy generation considerations. Decisions related to the stands to be exploited, the annual aggregate production of raw materials, final products, by-products and residues, as well as their transport between the different links in the chain, are considered. Among the different types of clients taken into account, bioenergy plants stand out due to the strict product requirements. The objective function is to maximize the total benefit of the chain.
