Desde el año 1998 formo parte del equipo de investigación del Grupo de Procesamiento Digital de Imágenes dependiente del departamento de Electrónica de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. Mi actividad dentro del grupo es el desarrollo de líneas matemáticas relacionadas con el área de Procesamiento Digital de Señales e Imágenes. Estudiar los fundamentos de la Morfología Matemática binaria, en niveles de gris y en la actualidad su extensión a imágenes color ha sido y sigue siendo mi principal tema de investigación. Dentro de esta línea de Investigación nuestra hipótesis de trabajo es que las nuevas técnicas de segmentación basadas en identificación de texturas y Morfología Matemática Color permitirán describir de una manera más eficiente estructuras y texturas respecto a las técnicas basadas en diferencias de nivel de gris.Mi actividad docente como Profesor Adjunto es en el Área de Matemática Aplicada. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
