Durante mi tesis doctoral en CIQUIBIC adquirí experiencia en Bioquímica de Proteínas (purificación, detección, cinética enzimática, etc). Mi formación posdoctoral en Universidad de California Los Angeles y Universidad de Dallas, comprendió Biología Celular (cultivo de células e inmunocitoquímica) y Biología Molecular (purificación ADN, clonado de genes, transcripción, secuenciación, mutagénesis, transfección, expresión proteínas recombinantes en procariotas y eucariotas). Junto a otros investigadores creamos CEPROCOR organismo de C y T orientado a necesidades provinciales. Formé Lab. de Biol. Mol. con las líneas: expresión de Eritropoyetina recombinante; detección HIV y HPV por Biol. Mol. y Genética Forense. En 2009 el área de Genética Forense fue transferida al Poder Judicial junto al Registro Provincial de Perfiles de ADN, con la creación del Centro de Genética Forense, ambos bajo mi dirección. Realizamos estudios de parentesco, identificación genética de vestigios biológicos y de restos cadavéricos, e investigación científica en genética forense.
