Los principales aportes están centrados en las tareas de investigación, concentradas sobre la lírica de Píndaro y el medio cultural de la época arcaica. Luego se ha orientado la investigación al estudio del período helenístico, con atención a los papiros de publicación reciente. Se trabajó en este período (1999-2004) sobre la producción poética de Calímaco. Desde el año 2005 se trabaja sobre la himnodia griega de las épocas arcaica, clásica, helenística y tardoantigua, con especial atención al material epigráfico. En lo concerniente a la metodología han sido decisivas las tres estadías de investigación financiadas por el DAAD en las universidades alemanas de Tübingen (1991/92), Freiburg (2001) y en la Komission für Alte Geschichte und Epigraphik des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts, Munich (2009), reforzando el vínculo institucional y académico, a fin de mantener la calidad de las investigaciones y de la enseñanza en nuestras universidades de acuerdo a las normas y exigencias del ámbito científico internacional.
