Actuamente estoy realizando trabajos de investigacion vinculados a mi plan de trabajos propuestos como Investigadora Asistente, titulado: "DISEÑO SOBRE BASES ESTRUCTURALES DE NUEVOS LIGANDOS DE ESFINGOSINA QUINASA CON POTENCIAL APLICACIÓN EN PROCESOS INFLAMATORIOS ASOCIADOS A CANCER Y ENFERMEDAD DE NIEMAN PICK"; dirigido por el Dr. Daniel Enriz. El objetivo principal de este plan es la obtención de nuevos inhibidores de la enzima esfingosina quinasa 1 (SphK1), que presenten mayor especificidad por este importante y nuevo blanco molecular respecto de los ligandos actualmente conocidos. El diseño y obtención de estos nuevos inhibidores como potenciales agentes terapéuticos en procesos inflamatorios relacionados a cáncer se llevará a cabo mediante un diseño racional basado en datos estructurales disponibles para la diana escogida.Para la realización de este estudio, se emplean técnicas de screening virtual, docking o cribado virtual, dinámica molecular (utilizando el programa AMBER22) y estudios cuántiticos QTAIM.
