Mi laboratorio investiga la la plasticidad de los circuitos neuronales del hipocampo adulto, en particular la produccion de neuronas nuevas o neurogenesis. Nos interesa entender cual es la relevancia funcional de este proceso y como se regula. Para ello utilizamos registros electrofisiologicos in vitro e in vivo combinados con optogenetica y herramientas virales y geneticas para identificar poblaciones neuronales especificas.
