Me desempeño profesionalmente en el área de ciencias planetarias. Más específicamente en estudio observacional de cuerpos menores del sistema solar por medio de estudios fotométricos en la región óptica del espectro electromagnético, y morfológicos por medio de la aplicación de filtros digitales. Mi tesis doctoral esta enfocada en la búsqueda y análisis de actividad de tipo cometaria de objetos en el cinturón principal de asteroides.
