Me dedico al estudio histórico y etnográfico de las desigualdades estructurales que afectan a los Gitanos en el acceso a la salud, vivienda, educación, trabajo y preservación de su lengua. También analizo otras formaciones históricas de alteridad como el orientalismo -visión eurocentrada sobre los pueblos asiáticos-, en cuyo marco los Gitanos (de origen indio) fueron exotizados como orientales internos en Europa. Me dedico al estudio histórico y etnográfico de las desigualdades estructurales que afectan a los Gitanos en el acceso a la salud, vivienda, educación, trabajo y preservación de su lengua. También analizo otras formaciones históricas de alteridad como el orientalismo -visión eurocentrada sobre los pueblos asiáticos-, en cuyo marco los Gitanos (de origen indio) fueron exotizados como orientales internos en Europa. En esta línea abordo las matrices orientalistas argentinas, en su recepción de lo gitano y otros grupos, espiritualidades y prácticas de origen indio. Desde 2020 investigo la lengua romaní en San Juan y otras regiones de Argentina, en el marco de un proyecto sobre lenguas minorizadas (CICITCA, UNSJ), del cual soy co-directora desde 2023. Poseo una formación multidisciplinaria que incluye un grado en Diseño de Indumentaria (UBA, 2007), un Doctorado en Antropología Social (EIDAES-UNSAM, 2019), una Diplomatura en Estudios Avanzados del Lenguaje en Sociedad (CELES-UNSAM, 2023), y prontamente una Maestría en Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, mención Historia (UNQ, mayo 2026).
