Andrade desarrolla tareas de investigación en las áreas de filosofía de la tecnología, filosofía de la ecología, filosofía de la astrobiología, astropolítica y astroética. Posee publicaciones científicas y académicas sobre estas áreas en diversas revistas nacionales e internacionales, además de múltiples participaciones en congresos nacionales e internacionales dedicados a los mismos. Algunos de los temas tratados en los artículos y en las presentaciones a congresos han sido: inteligencia artificial, transhumanismo, posthumanismo, interacciones humano-robot, filosofía de la ecología, filosofía de la astrobiología e innovaciones tecnológicas espaciales y su impacto en la antropología filosófica, entre otros aspectos.
