S&T Expertise*

My main research interest is understanding how dysregulation of the microtubule network can lead to neurological disease. For my graduate training at Vanderbilt University, I have decided to complement my undergraduate studies on model organisms with protein-centered, microscopy-oriented research, under Dr. Marija Zanic. Our laboratory focuses on studying how a myriad of microtubule-associated proteins modulate microtubule dynamics and organization, using multidisciplinary in vitro reconstitution approaches. This research environment will not only help me develop mastery of cutting-edge experimental techniques in molecular and cell biology, protein biochemistry, biophysics and bioengineering, but it will also facilitate my training in literature discussion, scientific writing, oral presentations, and critical thinking. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
