Las líneas de trabajo del grupo de investigación se centran en el estudio de la respuesta inmune frente a la infección por C. difficile. El grupo tiene amplia experiencia en cultivo celular, citometría de flujo, inmunofluorescencia, ELISA, PCR en tiempo real, western blot y purificación de poblaciones celulares, entre otras. Principalmente, nos enfocamos en el efecto que tiene el extracto de la planta medicinal Aloe Vera sobre el cultivo de Clostridioides difficile, buscando una terapia alternativa o complementaria al uso de antibióticos que resulta ser el tratamiento actual ante la infección por el bacilo mencionado. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
