El trabajo que desarrollo en el CICTERRA se basa en investigar los Cariamiformes, incorporando los campos de la anatomía, la morfología funcional, y la ecología para comprender cómo el cuello de estas aves evolucionó como una herramienta mecánica especializada para la captura de presas. Para esto requerí aprender a utilizar varios programas de análisis computacionales de tomografías y modelado 3D.
