Mi área de especialización es la historia intelectual argentina y latinoamericana de los siglos XIX y XX , campo que he investigado y enseñado durante más de 20 años. Investigador de larga experiencia, domino la bibliografía pertinente a mi zona de experticia, tengo un dominio ágil de los idiomas español, portugués, inglés, francés, italiano y latín, y un dominio adecuado del alemán. Mis investigaciones interpelan a diversos campos dentro de las humanidades y las ciencias sociales: además de la historia, a la sociología, la antropología, la crítica literaria, y la filosofía política.
