Soy especialista en taxonomía de diatomeas de ambientes continentales y a lo largo de mi carrera científica me he dedicado a ampliar el conocimiento de la biodiversidad de este grupo de algas tanto en ambientes actuales como pasados. He participado como investigadora principal en proyectos interdisciplinarios abocados, entre otras cosas, a la reconstrucción de condiciones ambientales durante el cuaternario. Por otra parte, soy la única investigadora formada en Sudamérica que realiza el conocido como"test de diatomeas" en el diagnóstico de muerte por sumersion, interactuando con los cuerpos médicos forenses tanto del Litoral como de la Patagonia argentina *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
