Dentro del área bioquímica, he comenzado trabajando en microbiología. Luego, en el área de biotecnología y enzimas. Durante el desarrollo de mi formación doctoral y posdoctoral he trabajado en el estudio de estrategias de remediación a través de micorremediación de suelo con hongos de pudrición blanca, ahondando en las enzimas, la toxicidad y la degradación, el aprovechamiento de residuos lignocelulósicos. Actualmente, como investigadora asistente, me encuentro trabajando en la incorporación de nanomateriales a las tecnologías estudiadas previamente a fin de lograr mejoras en el proceso de remediación de matrices con contaminación mixta.
