Su desarrollo profesional se basa en la investigación del Hábitat, Energía y Ambiente cuyo objetivo es producir conocimientos en el campo de la investigación científica y ponerlos al alcance de la población, de gestores, de planificadores urbanos y de administradores públicos. Sus investigaciones se centran fundamentalmente en el estudio de la eficiencia energética y posible implementación de energías renovables en la edilicia de los sectores residencial y salud a partir de escenarios alternativos. Dichos escenarios están orientados al uso eficiente de la energía, desde la escala edilicia a la urbana teniendo en cuenta su localización territorial y corte temporal.
