Como investigador Asistente CIC-CONICET estudio distintas aristas de las glomerulopatias post-infecciosas. Principalmente mi trabajo de investigación se basa en identificar y caracterizar las mutaciones a nivel genético y genómico que pudiesen estar vinculadas o ser responsables de la mala evolución de la patología. En particular estudio las alteraciones genéticas en los genes que codifican para proteínas del sistema de complemento, que estarían implicadas en el montaje de la respuesta inmune y... Como investigador Asistente CIC-CONICET estudio distintas aristas de las glomerulopatias post-infecciosas. Principalmente mi trabajo de investigación se basa en identificar y caracterizar las mutaciones a nivel genético y genómico que pudiesen estar vinculadas o ser responsables de la mala evolución de la patología. En particular estudio las alteraciones genéticas en los genes que codifican para proteínas del sistema de complemento, que estarían implicadas en el montaje de la respuesta inmune y la severidad clínica de la mala progresión de la enfermedad renal. En paralelo, estudio diferentes anomalías funcionales en la cascada del complemento de estos pacientes pediátricos y evalúo su utilidad como factores diagnósticos, pronósticos y de oportunidad de tratamiento diferencial. Aplicamos técnicas de biología molecular como PCR, qPCR, MLPA, secuenciación NGS y Sanger, IHQ, ISH, FISH y WB, entre otras. Esta investigación se realiza a fin poder, en un futuro, incluir a cada paciente en un grupo de riesgo adecuado a fin de brindar un tratamiento más personalizado.
