La investigación propone generar conocimiento orientado a desarrollar y categorizar formas urbanas, conjunto de trama + perfil, que resulten eficientes en los aspectos térmicos, energéticos y económicos; integrando estrategias para: reducir los impactos que ejerce la urbanización sobre el clima, mejorar las condiciones de habitabilidad y calidad ambiental, y optimizar el aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales del lugar de emplazamiento. El objetivo final es transferir a los diversos ámbitos de planificación de la región, múltiples recomendaciones y propuestas de formas urbanas factibles de ser desarrolladas y herramientas para evaluar su desempeño, abarcando a los nuevos esquemas de crecimiento como de rehabilitación de sectores consolidados; con el fin de contribuir a ordenar y gestionar el uso del suelo urbano como recurso valioso y único para alcanzar un desarrollo urbano eficiente, sustentable y resiliente *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
