He trabajado en líneas de investigación con enfoques integradores en genética de poblaciones y del paisaje, cuyos aportes contribuyeron a aumentar el conocimiento de especies plaga de moscas de la fruta. Entre los análisis que he aplicado se encuentran modelos lineales, multivariados, estadística Bayesiana y por máxima verosimilitud, métodos filogenéticos y modelado de distribución de especies. Los resultados de estas líneas aportaron al conocimiento de rutas migratorias, estrategias adaptativa...
He trabajado en líneas de investigación con enfoques integradores en genética de poblaciones y del paisaje, cuyos aportes contribuyeron a aumentar el conocimiento de especies plaga de moscas de la fruta. Entre los análisis que he aplicado se encuentran modelos lineales, multivariados, estadística Bayesiana y por máxima verosimilitud, métodos filogenéticos y modelado de distribución de especies. Los resultados de estas líneas aportaron al conocimiento de rutas migratorias, estrategias adaptativas, procesos microevolutivos-demográficos y dinámica estacional. También cuento con experiencia en bioinformática y análisis de datos genómicos de alta resolución. Actualmente estoy estudiando la adaptación local en variedades nativas de maíz y las bases de su divergencia con fines de conservación combinando datos genómicos (pooled ddRAD-Seq), transcriptómicos (RNA-Seq) y rasgos agronómicos en ensayos a campo multiambiente.
