Mi desarrollo profesional es en la etnobiología y la conservacion biocultural, un campo que integra la ciencias biológicas con las sociales y que estudia los vínculos entre los seres humanos y la naturaleza. Mi experiencia está enfocada en el trabajo de campo etnográfico y ecológico, y el análisis de datos cualitativos y cuantitativos de informaciones vinculadas las formas en que las comunidades usan y manejan el paisaje, tanto silvestre como domesticado. En especial, me enfoco en los conocimientos ecológicos locales que poseen las personas acerca de plantas comestibles y medicinales (convencionales y no convencionales) y su rol para el desarrollo de estrategias resilientes frente a los cambios socioambientales. Mi trabajo contribuye a la comprensión de cómo el conocimiento ecológico local puede ser una herramienta para la conservación de la biodiversidad y la sustentabilidad. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
