Mi experiencia en investigación está orientada hacia la ecología forestal y de pastizales, habiéndome especializado en ecología del fuego en ecosistemas vgetales terrestres (bosques, pastizales, forestaciones, humedales, y arbustales), en restauración de ecosistemas afectados por diferentes disturbios naturales o humanos (fuego, pastoreo, tala). También he desarrollado experiencias en determinación de captura de carbono en ecosistemas naturales y en agro-forestería.
