Finished his doctoral studies in Scientific Computation at Laboratório Nacional de Computação Científica - LNCC/MCT - Petropolis, RJ - Brazil in March 2007. For supporting his studies he was granted with a CNPq (www.cnpq.br) doctoral scholarship. During his Doctoral studies he also contributed in the HeMoLab (hemolab.lncc.br) project at LNCC. From 2007 to 2013 he lead a research team within Universitat Pompeu Fabra focused on Image-Based Technologies in Vascular Hemodynamics. Results from his research work were transfered to a start-up company in the area or medical image analysis and treatment planning. He currently holds a position as Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina. His current research and technological interests include all aspects of medical image analysis, modelling of medical devices, treatment planning and simulation, translational research and entrepreneurship, variational principles, numerical methods, and agile methodologies for software development. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
