La línea de investigación desarrollada tiene el propósito de generar conocimientos para consolidar un campo del saber emergente dentro de los estudios urbanos-territoriales-arquitectónicos: el de las transiciones socio-ecológicas como vías para re-pensar el modelo urbano. En un contexto complejo en el que las problemáticas socioespaciales se agudizan profundamente, se considera cardinal contar con análisis detallados de las transformaciones socio-territoriales, las problemáticas socio-ambientales y los procesos de defensa y acción transformadora local (experiencias permaculturales, agroecológicas y de construcción ecológica) ya que contribuyen a la preservación de la biodiversidad y el manejo sostenible de los territorios, a formas de organización socio territorial participativas y a repensar el vínculo sociedad-naturaleza en los procesos de desarrollo y expansión urbana. El objeto de estudio son las aglomeraciones de menor escala cualidades paisajísticas y ambientales significativas. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
