Las líneas de investigación desarrolladas en la trayectoria profesional son: el ordenamiento territorial en base a cuencas hidrográficas, el estudio del paisaje con énfasis en el paisaje fluvial, las metodologías para el diagnóstico y la mitigación del riesgo de inundación urbano, y más recientemente, la relación entre el mercado de suelo urbano y las áreas inundables y/o vinculadas con cursos de agua. El territorio de estudio es el Gran La Plata y el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires. En los últimos años se ha enfatizado en la comunicación pública de la ciencia.
