Me considero un biólogo poblacional con interés en el manejo y conservación de la vida silvestre. Utilizo distintas herramientas cuantitativas para entender por qué algunas poblaciones crecen sin control y se convierten en especies plaga o invasoras y otras declinan hacia la extinción. En mis estudios he usado modelos de individuo espacialmente explícitos y modelos poblacionales para estudiar los factores que afectan el crecimiento y expansión o la retracción de poblaciones. Me intereso también en la estimación de variables de estado poblacionales para parametrizar esos modelos, incluyendo estimación de ocupación, abundancia, supervivencia, reclutamiento y dispersión utilizando modelos estadísticos bayesianos y de máxima verosimilitud. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
