Me dedico al estudio de rocas de basamento ígneo-metamórfico en el ámbito de las Sierras Pampeanas y Puna Argentina con el objeto de conocer la evolución geotectónica del margen suroccidental de Gondwana. Las metodologías utilizadas para la resolución de estos problemas son: petrografía, química mineral, geoquímica de roca total, isotopía de Rb-Sr y Sm-Nd, geocronología U-Pb en circones y monacitas, y modelado de equilibrio de fases minerales entre otras.
