Su trayectoria académica incluye el doctorado en Fisiología por la Universidad de Valladolid (IBGM, UVA-CSIC) y una estancia postdoctoral en el Instituto Sanford-Burnham (EE. UU.) bajo la dirección del Dr. Stuart Lipton. En 2015 concretó su ingreso a la Carrera del Investigador Científico de CONICET.
