Mi trabajo se focaliza en el estudio de los ecosistemas acuáticos, utilizando como objeto de estudio las diatomeas presentes en los biofilms fluviales. La línea de trabajo incluye: estudios ecológicos del ensamble de diatomeas y su rol en el ambiente; sus respuestas a cambios ambientales y contaminantes para ser utilizados como biomonitores; el desarrollo de nuevas métricas y/o índices bióticos para el monitoreo ambiental, la creación de softwares que contribuyan a la evaluación de la calidad del agua a través del estudio de las microcomunidades como son Diathor y Optimos Prime; el abordaje del ensamble de diatomeas empleando técnicas de biología molecular (metabarcoding) para el desarrollo de nuevos indicadores ambientales. Además, cuento con experiencia en proyectos de ciencia participativa y de extensión *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
