Mi formación de grado ha sido en el área de biología y la de doctorado en el área de química. Durante mi tesis de licenciatura trabajé en fisicoquímica de proteínas, utilizando técnicas de producción de proteína recombinante, espectroscopía estacionaria y resuelta en el tiempo y simulación computacional avanzada. En el marco de mi doctorado me focalizo en la fotoquímica y espectroscopía de organismos fotosintéticos (plantas y algas) en escalas de laboratorio y campo.
