La Dra. María Julieta Galliari ha realizado su tesis doctoral en la cual estudió los procesos condicionantes de la calidad del agua subterránea en las zonas de borde continental del acuífero costero medanoso y sus aplicaciones al abastecimiento de agua en poblaciones rurales y al sustento de áreas naturales. Actualmente estudia los ambientes de humedales costeros asociados a lagunas costeras y marismas en el extremo sur de la Bahía Samborombón (Punta Rasa) y Bahía San Blas, donde las variables del balance hídrico, la interacción agua subterránea- superficial (mareal)- sedimentos condiciona tanto la hidroquímica e hidrodinámica del agua como las características ambientales. A su vez, cuenta con estudios sobre flujos de agua y contenido de nutrientes (Galliari et al., 2017a; Galliari et al., 2017b) como así también sobre variaciones hidroquímicas producto de la interacción entre el agua subterránea, el agua superficial de la laguna costera, los flujos mareales y los sedimentos (Galliari et al., 2018; Galliari et al., 2020; Galliari et al., 2021). *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
