EL Dr Fernando Javier Barreyro es Médico, especialista en Gastroenterología y Hepatología, Doctor en Medicina. Sus actividades médico-científicas están centradas en la medicina traslacional focalizándose en los mecanismos celulares y moleculares en la dispepsia funcional, infección por Helicobacter pylori y en las enfermedades hepáticas, como la esteatohepatitis no-alcohólica. En particular, el Dr Barreyro estudia los mecanismos subyacentes que dan lugar a: 1) inflamación duodenal y sus implicaciones en la dispepsia funcional y la dispepsia asociada a Helicobacter pylori, 2) biomarcadores y métodos diagnósticos no-invasivos en la enfermedad hepática grasa de etiología no-alcohólica. El laboratorio cuenta con experiencia en microscopía, estudio de polimorfismos genéticos, PCR convencional y en tiempo real, sistemas de cultivo de células y determinación de las interacciones proteína-proteína o vías de señalización. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
