Mi experiencia en investigación está basada en la biología tumoral, en particular lo que respecta a la inmunidad anti-tumoral y angiogénesis. Durante mi tesis doctoral me he dedicado al estudio de la expresión del punto de control inmunológico HLA-G/ILTs en muestras de carcinoma renal de células claras. Para ello, realizamos cultivos celulares primarios a partir de muestras de pacientes humanos portadores del tumor, evaluamos biomarcadores mediante técnicas de biología molecular (PCR, qPCR, citometría de flujo, inmunohistoquímica). En conjunto con el laboratorio de investigación CEA en el Hospital Saint Louis de Paris, Francia, hemos desarrollado la técnica de edición génica mediante el sistema CRISPR/Cas9 para silenciar la expresión del HLA-G en una línea celular tumoral con el fin de reactivar la respuesta inmune del huésped contra las células tumorales. Además, he trabajado con células madre mesenquimales para su aplicación en la cicatrización de heridas dérmicas, ensayos que hemos probado en animales de laboratorio. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
