A partir de un abordaje histórico de la principal iniciativa del catolicismo social entre fines del siglo XIX y las primeras décadas del XX, se ha buscado establecer un diálogo entre la Historia Social y Política del mundo de los trabajadores y las izquierdas y los Estudios Históricos sobre la Secularización y el Catolicismo argentino, alumbrando especialmente aquellos aspectos del proceso de secularización que empujaron a un sector del catolicismo a intervenir sobre la clase trabajadora de la ciudad de Buenos Aires para bloquear o, al menos, contener la influencia de las izquierdas, de (re)cristianizarla y, así, poner fin a la cuestión social. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
