Durante mi tesis doctoral desarrollé diversas plataformas incorporando películas delgadas con estructuras jerárquicas funcionales en la micro- y nanoescala para crear herramientas de análisis del transporte de fluidos en medios porosos y desarrollar aplicaciones en contextos relevantes como la recolección guiada de agua y la nanogeneración de energía. Para ello combiné métodos de síntesis bottom-up, (ej. sol-gel, autoensamblado), síntesis de nanopartículas, transferencia de patrones y funcionalización selectiva. Además, incorporé procesos de microfabricación (Trabajo en Sala Limpia, fotolitografía, RIE, ataque químico, etc..) para la construcción de dispositivos que combinen estas nanoestructuras funcionales con sistemas microfluídicos. En mi investigación postdoctoral estoy desarrollando dispositivos microfluídicos inteligentes para cultivo de células que mediante la integración de sistemas nanoestructurados permitan la adhesión y proliferación celular controlada y la liberación de moléculas de interés. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
