Mis preguntas de investigación se centran en comprender la ecohidrología y el servicio de provisión de agua de las montañas subhúmedas a áridas. Particularmente, comprender la dinámica temporal y los patrones espaciales de los controles y mecanismos involucrados en el flujo y almacenamiento de agua en estas cuencas. A través de ello, pretendo brindar herramientas de manejo, proyección y evaluación de riesgo de la gestión de recursos hídricos. Para ello utilizo sensores hidrométricos, espectroscopía CRDS (para análisis de isótopos estables de agua), espectroscopía alfa (para determinación de 222Rn en agua), líneas de extracción al vacío criogénico (para extraer agua de muestras de planta y suelo), cámaras psicrométricas y bomba de Scholander (para determinar potencial hídrico), sensores de flujo de savia (para determinar transpiración) y aproximaciones satelitales. También utilizo los caracteres funcionales de las plantas, análisis físico-químicos del suelo, respiración del suelo, descomposición de la broza, entre otros. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
