Estas tareas se vinculan principalmente con la Historia Oral (realización y transcripción de entrevistas), junto con el relevamiento, sistematización y análisis de fuentes escritas. El conocimiento desarrollado de este modo se aplica a múltiples campos pero tiene especial importancia en el diseño de políticas urbanas, al proveer información clave para el desarrollo de intervenciones tendientes a paliar el problema urgente de la precariedad habitacional.
