Durante todo mi desarrollo profesional me dediqué al área de virología, durante mi tesis doctoral al análisis de la relación de virus aviares con su hospedador a través del estudio de la respuesta inmune aviar y el papel de proteínas virales en el ciclo replicativo. Luego, durante mi posdoc, en el estudio de las estructuras de ARN del genoma del virus del Dengue en distintos hospedadores. Actualmente, me desempeño estudiando la biología moleular del virus de la Encefalitis de Saint Louis.
