Desde los comienzos de mi formaciòn cientìfica, el área de estudio en la que me desempaño son las neurociencias, indagando los mecanismos celulares que subyacen fenómenos fisiológicos y también patalógicos del desarrollo neuronal y la regeneración axonal, tanto en sistema nervioso central como periférico. Esto me llevó a aprender técnicas de cultivo primario de neuronas de hipocampo y senstitivas, cirugías en pequeños animales para realizar experimentos in vivo tales como contusión de nervio ciático, electroporación de ganglios dorsales y electroporación in útero. Para entender las vías de señalización que estana actuando en cada proceso, también he aprendido diversas técnicas de biología molecular y celular, microscopía y bioquímica.
