El área de trabajo es el de la cartografía, la historia de este saber, los actores e instituciones que cartografiaron el territorio nacional. Historia el saber cartográfico y topográfico implica pensarlo en un momento histórico y geográfico determinado; se debe incluir, las condiciones materiales y el posicionamiento político que los actores priorizan en el momento de tomar decisiones.En este sentido se estudió la política cartográfica del Estado argentino, haciendo hincapié en las diferentes estrategias desarrolladas por el Estado desde fines del siglo XIX hasta mediados del siglo XX. Se analizó la conformación del saber cartográfico como saber estatal y cómo se institucionalizó en el Estado. Los estudios visuales y cultuales permitieron estudiar otra manera de representar el terreno, se analizó la historia de la representación topográfica del terreno. Desde esta línea se incluyeron otro tipo de imágenes cartográficas: los mapeos colectivos, dibujos; cartografía artística y fotografía. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
