En mi laboratorio aplicamos técnicas de biología molecular para estudiar los mecanismos moleculares de resistencia que presentan los hongos patógenos humanos a los antifúngicos. Además, desarrollamos estas mismas técnicas para diagnosticar infecciones micóticas y para identificar taxonómicamente a los hongos patógenos. Por último, expresamos antígenos fúngicos recombinantes útiles en el diagnóstico serológico de micosis profundas.
