Obtuve mi doctorado en Biología a través de la realización de la tesis doctoral basada en las características morfológicas y taxonómicas, la dieta y los aspectos reproductivos de la raya erizo, Amblyraja doellojuradoi. A través de este trabajo pude adquirir conocimientos de distintos análisis estadísticos como por ejemplo GLM, entre otros. Actualmente mi proyecto posdoctoral se trata de analizar morfologica y genéticamente las especies del genero Squalus presentes en nuestra plataforma.
