He trabajado principalmente en comportamiento de insectos. Los experimentos de comportamiento siempre los acompañé con trabajo de campo buscando un correlato natural de lo observado en el laboratorio. Además he aplicado técnicas de electrofisiología e inmunohistoquímica buscando estructuras y órganos responsables de evocar ciertos comportamientos observados. Actualmente dirijo una línea de investigación centrada en el estudio de las capacidades cognitivas de las vinchucas.
