Nuestras investigaciónes combinan escalas, biofísicas, bioquímica-moleculares, celulares, fisiológica y ecofiológicas. Los temas de estudio han sido:-regulación del sistema antioxidante y del estado redox celular frente a diferentes condiciones de estrés (oxidativo, abiótico y biótico) y su relaciòn con la senescencia y la tolerancia al estrès, -regulación y estructura del complejo Ndh de cloroplastos frente a condiciones fotooxidativas-sobreexpresión de enzimas antioxidantes y expresión de supresores de muerte celular programada de origen animal, - señalización oxidativa intracelular y regulación del sistema antioxidante, -cambios redox locales y sistémicos en la interacción leguminosa-rizobio y su relación con las respuesta sistémica inducidas y la tolerancia al estrés abiótico y biótico, -autofagia: regulación redox, metabólica y frente a condiciones de estrés abiótivo y biótico. - ARN pequeños en las repuestas locales y sistémicas de inmunidad en la triple interacción planta- microorganimos benéfico-condición de estrés.
