Comencé mi carrera en el área de robótica de campo aplicada a vehículos terrestres y en la actualidad he virado mis investigaciones al área de vehículos y sistemas de transporte inteligente. El mayor impacto de mis investigaciones se da en las áreas de sistemas autónomos, navegación autónoma y seguridad. En esas he aplicado técnicas de fusión de datos probabilística y procesamiento de señales e imágenes para la percepción del entorno que rodea al vehículo.
