Trabajo en ecofisiología forestal, especialmente en la respuesta de especies forestales a cambios en la disponibilidad de recursos (agua, nutrientes, luz), tanto en plantaciones forestales como bosque nativo. Las líneas de trabajo buscan articular el crecimiento a nivel de árbol con el manejo del entorno, ya sea por estreses bióticos como con la interacción entre árboles.
