El objetivo principal de mi investigación es la bioprospección de moléculas con algún interés para la sociedad. Actualmente mis objetivos particulares están centrados en 1) aislar, caracterizar e identificar los péptidos antimicrobianos presentes en la piel de los anfibios de la Patagonia 2) utilizar estos péptidos como base para el desarrollo de nuevos antibióticos (diseño de análogos) 3) evaluar la relación estructura-función. Para esto utilizo técnicas de Biología Molecular, Cromatografía Líquida (HPLC), espectrometría de masas (MALDI-TOF), síntesis química de péptidos y técnicas microbiológicas para los ensayos de actividad. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVA
