Profesora y Doctora en Letras por Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (2003) e investigadora Adjunta del Conicet. Docente de las asignaturas Literatura Latinoamericana I y II en la mencionada universidad. Dirige el Instituto Interdisciplinario de Estudios Latinoamericanos (IIELA/UNT). Desde el año 1997 trabaja la escritura de los viajeros que recorren las costas patagónicas y el Río Amazonas durante el siglo XVI; su tesis doctoral se centra en los textos de Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa y fue publicada bajo el título de "Con la lanza y con la pluma" (2004). Ha sido becaria del CIUNT, de la Fundación Antorchas y Postdoctoral CONICET. Los resultados obtenidos se han volcado en publicaciones con referato en revistas del país y el extranjero y en capítulos de libros . Ha compilado, junto con Carmen Perilli, Siluetas de Papel. El autor como lector (2012). Editó los números 8 y 11-12 de la Revista Telar sobre escritura colonial y relatos de viajes. *Information provided by the agent in SIGEVALines of Investigation
