Soy Doctora en Ciencias Sociales, Licenciada en Geografía y Técnica en Sistemas de Información Geográfica y Sensores Remotos. Estudio problemáticas medioambientales, especialmente la evaluación integrada, participativa y el monitoreo de la degradación de tierras (DT) a diversas escalas. Asimismo he participado en numerosos proyectos vinculados a aspectos biofísicos y socioeconómicos a fin de contribuir al manejo sostenible de la tierra (MST) y al ordenamiento territorial (OT). Soy miembro de la Comisión Directiva del Observatorio Nacional de Degradación y Tierras y Desertificación y del grupo Ad Hoc de indicadores socioeconómicos. Es de mi especial interés realizar aportes desde los SIG y los sensores remotos al análisis de las interacciones del sistema socio-ecológico, a través de la construcción y espacialización de indicadores vinculados al bienestar humano. Me interesa particularmente la generación de conocimiento de índole territorial, que puedan contribuir a la toma de decisiones para la conservación, el MST, la adaptación al cambio climático, el OT, entre otros.
