Evaluación de niveles y distribución ambiental de Contaminantes Orgánicos Persistentes (COPs), Plaguicidas de Uso Actual (PUA) y Contaminantes Emergentes. *COPs: plaguicidas organoclorados (DDT, endosulfan, lindano, etc), PCBs y PBDEs; *PUA: piretroides, clorotalonil, clorpirifos, fipronil, imidaclorprid, y *Emergentes: fármacos de uso humano y veterinario. La investigación holística incluye suelo, aire, agua, sedimentos, macrófitas y peces de cuencas hidrográficas. Técnicas en qca analítica: Extracción: Soxhlet, en fase sólida (SPE) y líquido-líquido. Cromatografía: permeación en gel, ácido sílico, florisil y alumina. Equipamiento: Cromatógrafo de Gases con Detector de Captura Electrónica (GC-ECD), GC acoplado a detector de Masas (GC-MS) y Cromatógrafo Líquido de Alta Resolución (HPLC). Estudiar los efectos adversos sobre biota de los diferentes contaminantes. Técnicas en ecotoxicología: determinación de actividad enzimática fase I y II: EROD, BROD, GST, SOD, CAT, GPx y GR; capacidad antioxidante total, daño a lípidos.
