En el año 2003 comencé a realizar tareas de investigación en el Laboratorio de Gastroenteritis Virales y Sarampión del Instituto de Virología Dr. J.M. Vanella. Esto me permitió obtener mi título de Bióloga, desarrollar mi trabajo de tesis doctoral y postdoctoral, bajo la tutela de la Dra. Silvia Nates. Con los años el grupo de trabajo, adquirió experiencia en el estudio de la virología ambiental, constituyendo uno de los pocos grupos en la región en el área de la temática planteada. se implementó y puso a punto técnicas de concentración viral en matrices acuosas e identificación viral mediante técnicas moleculares convencionales y NGS y sistemas de cultivo de virus en diferentes líneas celulares. Además, dirijo Tesis doctorales, de maestría y especialidad y tesinas de grado. Esta capacidad técnica y científica lograda permitió implementar servicios diagnósticos a otras universidades, organismos públicos y empresas. Desde el año 2024 desempeño la función de referente del laboratorio de Gastroenteritis Virales y Virología Ambiental del Instituto de Virología Dr. JM.
